Lowrider cars return to Navy Pier

The Slow & Low: The Chicago Lowrider Festival returns to Navy Pier on October 12, according to an announcement on Wednesday, an event that will be a finale to Hispanic Heritage Month.

The centerpiece will be about 250 highly customized lowrider cars in the Festival Hall, along with bicycles and motorcycles. Slow & Low, established in 2011, is the largest gathering of lowrider culture in Chicago, according to the announcement, with more than 60 car, bike and motorcycle clubs represented. Along with the cars, expect DJs, live music, folk dancers and other presentations.

Slow & Low will be from 10 am to 8 pm on October 12 at Navy Pier, 600 E. Grand Ave.; tickets are $15-$52 at www.navypier.org
